About Zachary

I am a hardworking professional who takes pride in his work. I love my job(s) and am somewhat of an entrepreneur. I currently own a small IT services business, RunPC Computer Repair, and am working to build a clientele in  social media as I join the exciting social media industry! I’m involved in several volunteer projects in this capacity and was just recently approached by my first paying client. I am open to new opportunities in social media, and I’m really excited to see what this career path has in store for me!

I’m very passionate about managing online communities and helping businesses get the most out of their social media presence. I love everything about it!

I spend a great deal of my free time volunteering in the AVG Facebook Community, where I help community members to solve their computer problems, answer their questions about AVG’s products, services, and company (which I’ve become very well acquainted with), and promote safe browsing habits. My involvement in the AVG Facebook Community started early in its development and has had a profound effect on both the community, as well as some notable effects on the company as a whole! Learn more about my involvement in the AVG Community.

Not only am I active in volunteering with online communities, but also in my own community. I was invited to sit on the Advisory Board for the Computer Repair and Networking course I attended at the Anderson Districts I & II Career and Technology Center. Local high school students have the option of attending the Career and Technology Center to get specialized training in a career field before college! In this position my professional experience and knowledge is leveraged by my former instructor to help make decisions regarding the content and overall direction of the program. I also take a more direct role in classroom instruction at times, such as earlier this year, when I presented to the class concerning my work with AVG, answered their questions, and offered advice and assistance to those who were interested in similar careers.  I do all that I can to ensure the program remains relevant and valuable to future generations of IT professionals.

I also run a blog with a focus on teaching online safety, observations from my interactions with the AVG Facebook Community, and at times my thoughts on current events.

While pursuing these professional endeavors, I am also completing a degree in Computer Networking Systems, an Advanced Certificate in Networking Security, and planning a future degree in marketing, with a focus on social media and web 2.0.

I have achieved some incredible success over the last few years of my life, and I intend to continue to accomplish even greater things!
